I am writing to advise you that Sunshine Coast Regional Council today announced its decision to retain Unitywater and the current arrangements for the retail and distribution of water supply and sewerage services in the region.
We welcome this decision for the certainty it brings to the organisation and its people, allowing us to do what we do best — provide water supply and sewerage services 24 hours a day, seven days a week, every single day of the year.
We can now get on with the job of improving customer service, identifying further efficiencies and delivering critical infrastructure for the both Moreton Bay and Sunshine Coast regions.
With the specialist expertise within Unitywater, we can continue to pursue innovation and investigate opportunities to benefit our customers, the environment and the business. This will help us deliver on our wider aim of providing safe, reliable and cost-efficient water supply and sewerage services to those who live and work in the Moreton Bay and Sunshine Coast regions.
